ABOUT THE ARTIST

Yo yo! How's it goin? I'm ZEN and welcome to my shop. THANK YOU so much for comin through and partaking in some CREATIVE LOVE with me. Apparently, I'm supposed to be writing this in third person. But I thought that the whole point of this is to CONNECT and be MYSELF, right? So if we are gonna do it, let's do the thing right! I'm a Georgia based artist, born and raised in the St. Louis area. I studied Animation/Film/Design at NIU. I create from a space of AUTHENTICITY. Basically, I make what I would want to see in my own space. I'm heavily influenced by animation, film, Hip-hop, and Nerd culture. Some of my favorite artists include Chuck Close, Banksy, Jean-Michel Basquiat, and Brian Lee O'Malley amongst too many others to name. Color, line weight, shape and form are some common elements found in my work these days. What can I say? I love soft and fluid compositions made from hard line definition. My goal is to UPLIFT, evolve, and share my growth with all of you as I put myself out here so I can move on from my retail gig. (See? I'm a real human. ha!)
